SICK TR4 Safety Switch, RFID Actuator Included, Valox

This safety switch is a non-contact RFID interlock designed for industrial machine safeguarding. It detects actuator presence via RFID sensing and provides two safe semiconductor outputs for integration into safety circuits. The unit operates from 24V DC and is intended for environments requiring high ingress protection and temperature tolerance. LEDs provide status indication and the device supports diagnostic-capable series connection in a control cabinet.

Two self-monitoring semiconductor outputs (OSSDs) supply safe switching with protected output current up to 200mA.

Detection time for external faults such as short-circuits or cross-circuits is specified as up to 100 MS with safe-state behaviour of at least one OSSD switching off.

The housing is moulded from Valox and the unit withstands vibration at 10Hz to 55Hz with 3.5mm amplitude and shock of 30g for 11 ms.

Front LEDs provide status display and a 10m PVC-sheathed cable with seven conductors simplifies wiring to control systems.

An actuator is supplied and the pair uses universal RFID coding with a low coding level as defined by standards.
