This adapter converts a DisplayPort source to a DVI display, allowing DVI monitors or projectors to be used with DisplayPort-enabled desktops, laptops and docking stations. It is a passive DP++ device that transmits digital-only DVI signals and supports single-link resolutions suitable for common desktop and presentation displays. The connector arrangement includes a latching DisplayPort plug and a DVI-I female output configured for digital pass-through.

The DP++ source can pass DVI and HDMI signals through the DisplayPort connection, with only digital DVI output presented.
