5/8in Zinc Plated Steel Wingnut, 6-32in, Forged Steel

Introducing the range of RS PRO Wing Nuts, a high-quality fastener solution for connecting and tightening a bolt or screw in a wide range of applications by hand. Each fastener is made from forged steel with a zinc coating, making them much more cost-effective than their stainless-steel counterparts, while still offering a high level of protection against surface rust and oxidisation.

Wing nuts are designed specifically for ease of use and simplicity. They are used for applications where the fastener needs to be tightened or loosed by hand, most commonly when something needs to be repeatedly adjusted, re-installed or removed. The main benefit of wing nuts is that they are easy to install and drastically reduce the risk of overtightening and are also useful in areas where space is limited, and tools can’t be used. Because of this, however, these fasteners are not recommended for applications that require structural support and security, or high vibration environments, as there is an increased risk in them loosening over time.
