The Ixxat CAN-IB600/PCIe enables an easy and cost-efficient CAN FD/CAN bus connection for computers with a PCIe interface. It offers two switchable CAN FD/CAN high-speed interfaces to send and receive ISO CAN FD, non-ISO CAN FD or CAN2.0A/B messages, offering fast data transmission and flexibility. This active card features a 32 bit microcontroller, enabling data pre-processing, like precise on-board time-stamping and data filtering. It connects to the PC through a single-lane (1x) PCI Express interface, while the CAN bus side connects via D-Sub 9 connectors with galvanic isolation. The galvanic isolation provides reliable protection of the PC against overvoltage and voltage peaks. The card is equipped with a standard slot bracket for easy installation in desktop or industrial PCs.
Thanks to its modular design, the connectivity options of the CAN-IB600/PCIe can be expanded with additional interfaces – either by installing multiple cards in one PC or by using fieldbus expansion boards and piggyback modules. This makes it an adaptable solution for various requirements.
