This easy-to-use electromechanical switch from RS PRO can detect a target object's presence and position, count passing objects and set limits on an object's travel. It has a die-cast zinc alloy casing sealed with epoxy resin at the box base and is fitted with a roller plunger actuator.

The pre-wired switch comes with a 5-core, 1-metre-long unterminated cable. It can switch strong currents, such as a 5 A conventional thermal current, and is immune to electromagnetic disturbances.

The device conforms to international (IEC 947-4-5-1) and European (EN 60 947-5-1) standards as a safe and effective limit switch. It offers class I protection against electric shocks in accordance with IEC 536, is IP67-rated for water resistance and complies with ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 on electrostatic discharge.

This type of limit switch is common in automated systems like injection moulding machinery, electronic assembly equipment and platform lifts.
