The FTDI US232R-100-BLK is a premium USB to RS232 converter cable in black. It can also be used to evaluate the FT232R chip and drivers.

In comparison to more basic models, the US232R-10 features a black gloss finish. It also has blue LED lit sides to indicate Tx and Rx traffic. The USB and DB9 connectors on the US232R-10 are also gold plated, for a high quality and durability.

What communication rates can it achieve?

The US232R-100-BLK can deliver communication rates from 300Baud to 1MBaud.
