Fluke T6-1000, LCD Voltage Tester, 1000V, Battery Powered CAT IV, CAT III, T6-1000

This voltage tester is a clamp-free, non-contact instrument designed for electricians and engineers to measure AC and DC voltage and AC current in live installations without inserting test leads. It operates across low- to high-voltage supplies and is intended for field troubleshooting where rapid, safer measurements on insulated conductors and large cables are needed.

It runs on two AA batteries and typically delivers about 360 h continuous operation, dropping to around 200 h when using non-contact FieldSense measurements.

The unit functions between -10 °C and +50 °C and is rated for use at altitudes up to 2000m with storage limits extending to -30 °C/+60 °C.

It meets CAT III 600V and CAT IV 1000V measurement-category requirements for typical distribution and service-drop environments.

It includes attached test leads with removable 4mm probe caps and accepts an optional magnetic hanger and holster for hands-free positioning.

Do not hold or touch wire you are testing during a measurement. Use the black probe to make the ground connection if:
• wearing gloves or insulated footwear
• standing on an insulated ladder
• additional ground contact is required for the application
