It's a dry-well type, so it comes with an internal heat source that gives off a thermal reading when you insert a probe into it. The component has a rapid ambient heating time of 10 minutes to a temperature of +100°C, so you won't be left hanging around waiting to take readings. It takes just 10 minutes to cool back down to 0°C.

Fluke 9102S Hand Held Temperature Drywell

A drywell offering a combination of extreme portability and good performance to meet the requirements associated with high speed, high volume industrial calibrations in a shop floor environment. Use the instruments independently or together to make fast zero and span calibrations of temperature sensors.

Drywell ideal for checking dial gauges, digital thermometers, bulb switches, and other sensors that need calibration below ambient.

Fast and easy calibrations of temperature sensors

Temperature range –10°C to 122°C, expandable to –10 °C to 375 °C when used with a 9100S drywell (see stock no. 537-026)

2 x 1/2 “ dia wells enabling one can be used for a reference thermometer to increase accuracy. Inserts are available to suit other sensor sizes.
