Eaton British Standard Fuse, A3, 50A TIS50

This low-voltage industrial fuse from Eaton's Red Spot range is used to provide protection to electrical circuits and improve safety for both operators and equipment.

Designed to be a sacrificial device, this component breaks the current flow to a circuit in the event of a short circuit or overload fault that could otherwise cause damage. The fuse can be used for both gG (general purpose) and gM (dual motor) protection and is a common feature of electrical wiring and switchgear systems.

How do I replace a blown fuse?

First, identify where the outage has occurred, then unplug the equipment and turn off the power. It's important to know the specifications of the blown fuse so its equivalent can be used as a replacement. When you're sure of this, detach the fuse from its holder and insert the new one.

As the fuse allows for the starting surge of a motor its full load current must not exceed the lesser of the dual current rating. e.g. 20 M25 must not have a continuous load of greater than 20A.
