SICK I15 Safety Switch, Power, Fibreglass Reinforced Thermoplastic

This safety switch is a lockable power interlock designed for safeguarding access to machinery in non-hazardous areas. It uses an electro-mechanical sensor and a power-to-lock solenoid to secure guards while providing contact outputs for safety monitoring. The unit is specified for use across typical industrial ambient temperatures and sealed against ingress to support installation where dust and water resistance are required.

The solenoid requires a DC supply between 20.4V DC and 26.4V DC.

It uses electro-mechanical contacts with cable gland entry via one M20 gland and accepts 0.34mm² to 1.5mm² conductors.

The switch has no internal fault detection and relies on the connected safety logic unit for fault monitoring.

The device achieves around 2 x 10⁶ switching cycles mechanical life and a B10d of 2 x 10⁶ switching cycles with small loads.

It is rated to operate and be stored between -20°C and +55°C.
