RS PRO Fused Test Lead Kit, CAT III

Practical lead sets supplied in a durable grey pouch with attractive yellow piping. Standard Set has a wide range of accessories for taking measurements in most situations. Fused Set has extra fused test probes complying with the requirement of GS38 safety guidance for use on high energy circuits while taking voltage measurements. Both sets comply with IEC1010-1 cat III 600 V safety standard. Replacement fuses can be purchased please see RS Stock no. 161-1530.

2 x 1.2 m silicone multimeter leads with shrouded 4 mm terminations one end straight, one end right angled, (red and black), 2 x crocodile clips (red and black), 2 x long reach multimeter probes fuse rating to 1000 V 600 mA (red and black), 2 x spring loaded, grabber multimeter probes (red and black), extra items in fused sets, 2 x fused probes with only 4 mm of exposed metal tip fitted with 1.25" ceramic fuses rated at 660 V 500 mA.

Safety Precautions
Always inspect the test probes for cracks and frayed leads before each use. If defects are found, do not use the probe.

Burns, due to arcing or flashover resulting from the use of unsatisfactory test probes, account for more accidents in electrical testing than are caused by electric shock. Because of this, fused test leads with 2mm or less of exposed insulation are recommended for electrical use by the HSE in their guidance.
