The StarTech.com monitor privacy screen is designed to universally fit 22-inch 16:9 aspect ratio monitors, offering an anti-glare design that enhances visual comfort and reduces the harmful effects of blue light emitted by the display. With a reversible design, it easily adapts to varying light conditions throughout the day. Primarily aimed at Preventing Visual Eavesdropping, this privacy filter effectively darkens the computer screen from side views while ensuring a clear viewing angle of 60 degrees (+/- 30 degrees from centre) for the user. The Reversible Filter provides a matte anti-glare side suitable for environments prone to glare, along with a high-gloss side that maintains color vibrancy.

Additionally, the matte side offers screen protection with a fingerprint and scratch-resistant coating, boasting a light transmittance of 57.5% for optimal screen brightness and enhanced privacy. Installation is hassle-free thanks to residue-free transparent adhesive strips or side mounting tabs, aided by a convenient cut-out on the top corner of the privacy screen for easy removal during content sharing or when switching between matte and glossy finishes. Moreover, the privacy shield integrates Blue Light Reduction technology, blocking up to 51% of blue light emitted from the display within the 380nm - 480nm wavelength range, potentially alleviating symptoms associated with digital eye strain such as headaches, dry eyes, and blurred vision.
