Wolfspeed MOSFET GATE Driver


The Wolfspeed MOSFET gate driver is designed to drive Cree Wolfspeed 1200V and 1700V SiC MOSFET power modules. Each of the two gate drive channels is protected by a desaturation circuit. In the event of a short circuit, the voltage across the MOSFET (VDS) rises until it hits a threshold which causes the desaturation circuit to drive both the gate drive channels to their off state. The dual output PCB module incorporates features such as protection against over/under-voltage, overcurrent and short-circuits and over-temperature. Its direct mount low inductance design and low jitter characteristics enable operation at switching frequencies of up to 125kHz.
