Festo DSNU series round pneumatic cylinders with self adjusting pneumatic cushioning at both ends of the actuator barrel. Featuring a stainless steel piston rod within a 3 component system that provides excellent running performance and long service life. These double acting pneumatic actuators have dual connection ports for compressed air to be applied for advancing and retracting the piston rod in a linear motion. An extensive range of accessories makes it possible to install the DSNU cylinders virtually anywhere.

The DSNU PPS type self adjusting cushioning pneumatic cylinders provide ideal cushion performance without the need for manual adjustments. The self adjusting cushioning gives a gentle and dynamic travel into the end position, even with changing loads and speeds. Equipped with a special piston as an extension to the main piston the design controls venting of the air cushion that has built up, as a result, no adjusting screw is necessary. Assembly and setting time is reduced using self adjusting cushioning that results in a high potential saving of working hours.

Conforms to ISO 6432 providing standardised metric mounting dimensions

The DSNU series pneumatic round actuators conform to ISO 6432 standards allowing them to be mounted in any position to suit the required application. The ISO 6432 standard establishes metric mounting dimensions for cylinders providing interchangeability of commonly used hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. Optional mounting accessories provide further flexibility allowing the cylinder to be attached with a swivel bracket for free movement, foot mounted for support under high loads or combined with other actuators to give a wider range of movement.
