Pomona 5898 Test Probe Kit, CAT II, CAT III, 10A

This multimeter test lead provides insulated connection for measurement instruments and is intended for use with DMMs that accept 4mm sheathed banana plugs. The leads use 18 AWG high-strand bare copper conductors with silicone insulation for enhanced flexibility and elevated temperature tolerance.

The probe employs a two-step moulded body where a rigid inner polymer supports the tip and a Santoprene® outer layer provides strain relief at the wire junction.

The banana plug spring is nickel-plated beryllium copper and the plug body is nickel-plated brass while the probe tip is stainless steel.

The test leads have dual-extruded silicone with a contrasting white inner layer that becomes visible as the outer layer wears, signalling the need for replacement.
