Introducing the Scame Power Connector Socket. This surface-mounted switched interlock outlet socket is used in environments with potentially explosive atmospheres where gas and dust are common. The housing and internal assembly of this industrial connector feature outstanding resistance to impact and are also able to withstand aggressive chemical substances, atmospheric agents and harsh environmental conditions or applications. In addition to this, the ATEX rated power connectors are incredibly fire resistant and do not propagate flames, emit halogens or smoke, providing a great solution for power connectors being able to withstand high hazard environments.

This is a type of voluntary system which provides an internationally recognised way of proving compliance with IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards. The IEC specifications and standards are used in many national approval schemes and because of this IECEx certification can be used to support national compliance, removing the need in most cases for additional testing.
