Opt for one of our RS PRO tube-shaped heating elements next time you need to apply localised heat to metal plates or components. This versatile, robust cartridge heater is well-suited for a wide range of industrial applications, including test instruments and plastic manufacture.

The heating cartridges are constructed to slot easily into drill holes, both metric and imperial sized. Take note of the dimensions you need before ordering, however (this model is 16 mm in diameter and 200 mm long) as the cartridge must be a snug fit for it to work as intended.

The cartridge heater has a flexible, fibreglass-insulated lead wire able to handle temperatures right up to +450°C. The deep holes in the lead's ceramic cap are there to stop fraying in the lead when bent. Like all RS PRO-branded products, this tough multi-purpose heating element has been exhaustively tested for reliability and safe operation.
