Siemens Circuit Trip, 230V AC Rated Control Voltage, 16A Current Rating - 5TT4 Series - 5TT4101-0

Use this electromechanical circuit trip from Siemens to protect circuits from overloads, high currents or short circuits. It's optimised for low noise, making it an ideal option for use in building service applications such as heating and lighting. The slim unit is space-efficient and it clips easily onto a DIN rail to keep your system organised and reduce cabling. A switch position display allows for at-a-glance monitoring.

• IP20 ingress protection rating indicates it's touch-proof and resistant to dust
• Can be housed in modular enclosures to offer extra protection
• Electrical endurance of 50,000 switching cycles for a long service life

What are the different types of circuit trips?

There are two types of circuit trips: electromechanical and electronic. An electromechanical circuit trip like this one consists of two moving parts: a current-sensitive device and a thermal-sensitive device. These work together to determine when to open the circuit in response to a fault. An electronic circuit trip is a programmable device that measures and times the current flowing through the circuit breaker and delivers a trip signal when necessary.

Schneider Electric Modular Contactors

Low noise a.c. compact modular contactors and accessories are ideal for heating lighting and building service type applications. The units are designed for mounting in control panels or cabinets on symmetrical DIN rail or they may be housed in modular enclosures.
