This reduces maintenance needs as it eliminates the need for potentially messy lubricants. The raceway and other surfaces are coated in manganese phosphate, which offers reduced friction and protection against corrosion. These can be essential features in oven environments where humidity and oxidation levels can otherwise affect bearing performance.
