Use this extra-coarse abrasive disc from 3M to prep, clean or strip metal surfaces. The industrial-grade sanding disc is made from silicon carbide, which is sharp and long-lasting, so it's suitable to use on rough surfaces. An open-web material design provides consistently smooth cutting over the disc's lifespan and resists loading, so there's less risk of it becoming clogged. The component is easy to attach or remove with a quick twist-on or twist-off motion, which makes it simple to switch between different sanding grades.

The extra course (XCS) works to remove unwanted corrosion and blemishes from a variety of materials. It combines strands, resin and abrasive to form a thick open web.
