Looking for an organically sourced thermoplastic to use in your 3D printer? Our RS PRO Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament provides a hassle-free 3D printing experience as it flows smoothly out of the machine's nozzle with little to no warping.

PLA prints at a relatively low temperature, so it's less likely to clog during the printing process. You'll also get improved print speeds with this 1.75 mm filament because it takes little time to heat, allowing you to feed more material through. Matte PLA filaments are usually more abrasive so it's worth using a hardened steel nozzle for best results. The matte finish also reduces visible layer lines, resulting in excellent detail and smoothness.

As part of our RS PRO range, this product has been tested for safety. PLA is great for manufacturing food packaging and medical implants because it's derived from natural sources.
