This welding accessory from the RS PRO range is suitable for the metal inert gas (MIG) welding process. Stainless steel wire is suitable for welding sheet metal in industries such as automobile and aircraft manufacturing.

MIG welding is a process that joins two materials together using a solid wire electrode through a welding gun and into the weld pool. A shielding gas such as argon is sent through the welding gun, protecting the weld pool from contamination. Stainless steel is used in this process as it forms a long-lasting, reliable weld that doesn't rust easily. This wire has a diameter of 0.8 mm and the spool weighs 0.5 kg.

To create a stronger weld on two sheets of stainless steel it's best to use compatible stainless-steel wire. As part of the RS PRO series, this product has been tested for consistency and quality.
