This tone generator is a battery-powered signal source designed to trace and identify communication and cabling pairs in industrial and field environments. It emits selectable cadenced tones to aid pair identification and polarity checks, and is supplied alongside an unfiltered probe with audio monitoring capability for clear cable tracing over long distances.

The tools operate between −20 °C and 60 °C and can be stored between −40 °C and 70 °C to suit varied site conditions.

The tone output and polarity functions are safeguarded against voltages up to 60V dc to reduce risk during testing.
