Type K Thermocouples, Stainless Steel and Inconel / Industrial Mineral Insulated
Type K Thermocouples is a device which measures temperatures, its made up from two wires which are different materials. When these two wires are joined together, they create an electrical junction. Once the temperature changes at this junction, it created a voltage which can then be interpreted and read as a temperature. This is commonly known as the Seebeck Effect.

Has a choice of 316 flexible stainless steel versions in diameters ranging from 1.5 to 3mm - which has a great corrosion and oxidation resistance to suite a wide range of processes, satisfactory operates in sulphur bearing atmospheres. 0.5 to 2m in length, 100mm of PVC covered cable. The temperature range is from 0 to +800°C.
Inconel® Alloy 600 sheath version which has excellent oxidation resistance of up to 1100 °C. Has a diameter of 1.5 – 6mm, lengths of 0.5 to 2m. Features an 100mm of PVC covered cable

Types of Thermocouples
Type K Thermocouples: Type K is one of the most common types of thermocouple. Theyre popular due to their low cost, the Type K are accurate, provide reliability and have a wide temperature range.
Type J Thermocouples: Type J is also very common and widely known for their low cost, good performance and reliability. Can hold its own in higher temperature ranges, but this can shorten its lifespan
Type T Thermocouples: Type T offers stability and consistency, you can typically expect to use type T in exceptionally low temperature situations - such as freezing.
Type N Thermocouples: Type N shares similar accuracy and temperature limits as Type K. Type N is slightly higher in their price range.
Type L Thermocouples: Type L specialise in measurements of liquids such as liquid metals. Theyre commonly used in heating and apparatus engineering. This type of thermocouple is also cost effective, efficient and reliable.

Type K sensors, which typically have a temperature range from -200 to +1260°C, are known to be commonly used in a variety of industries and sectors. Type K sensors are also very accurate and reliable across wide ranges of operating temperatures.
