A universal socket joint is designed to be used with socket wrenches and socket accessories such as an extension bar, allowing you to tighten and loosen fasteners in hard to reach places. In order to attach the universal joint, simply push the universal joint onto the extension bar which is attached to the wrench and attach the desired socket or socket bit to the universal joint. Ensure that the universal joint is used with a wrench or socket accessory with the same size drive i.e. 1/2".
