It offers high current capability with a low forward voltage drop, while its guard ring construction provides effective transient protection. The silicon Schottky (hot carrier) rectifier design minimizes trr and reverse recovery voltage, eliminating reverse recovery oscillations and reducing the need for EMI filtering.
