This SKF bearing has tapered raceways and rollers specifically designed to handle radial and axial loads acting at the same time. Its raceways meet at a common point on the bearing's axis to provide a true rolling action and very low levels of friction. This reduces operational noise and allows the bearing to better maintain a pre-load. The unit's crowned raceway profile ensures even load distribution along the contact surfaces to reduce stress peaks at the roller ends. This also lowers the unit's sensitivity to misalignment and shaft deflection.
