Applications

The SMA, or Subminiature A connector, are used in radio frequency applications up to 18 GHz, and are typically found in wi-fi systems. The BNC connector is typically used in lower frequency and power applications and is commonly used in analogue signal applications such as pre-digital television broadcasts and laboratory test equipment.
