Siemens 6ES7155 Series Interface Module for Use with PROFINET

This Interface module provides a PROFINET communication gateway for distributed I/O systems, enabling fast Ethernet connectivity and module management within automation installations. It is designed to integrate with ET 200SP and connect up to 32 I/O modules Plus additional ET 200AL nodes, supporting multi-hot-swap operation and PROFINET security class 1 to maintain controlled device access.

The module accepts firmware updates and supports signed firmware files to ensure integrity during update operations.

It features multi-colour LEDs for RUN, ERROR, MAINT and PWR Plus link TX/RX indicators on the BusAdapter for Rapid status checks.

The unit includes short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection and provides about 10 MS stored energy for brief mains or voltage failures.

Configuration integration is available via STEP 7 TIA Portal from V18 and STEP 7 from V5.7 SP2 HF1 using GSDML V2.43 datasets.

The module connects using ET-Connection and accepts BusAdapter variants (2x RJ45, 2x FC, 2x M12) with an optional strain-relief accessory.
