The connector housings are also scoop-proof which prevents damage to the pin terminals when mated at a severe angle. The housings of these PCB headers incorporate polarization and keying features to prevent misalignment and mismating with the receptacle. A positive locking mechanism provides a secure connection with the mating receptacle and prevents accidental unmating caused by excessive shock or vibration.
