The EM-314 is a micro stepping stepper motor controller using bipolar-chopper control. The bipolar operation principle suits most stepper motors and provides the best torque control.The micro stepping function also enables great performance at low rpm.

The stepping and current regulation is synchronized giving a smooth and quiet operation
There are 7 different stepping options to choose from, ranging from full to 1/64-step operation, this provides various possibilities for different speed applications.
The controller has its own auxiliary oscillator, which can be used for pre-set speed commands - the pre-set speeds can be activated by using 4 digital function inputs
The oscillator features an acceleration ramp function, which allows frequencies to be altered for smooth control
The drive will ensure that the motor will start up reliably at higher frequencies and shift to desired velocity without speed dropping
The auxiliary oscillator incorporated into the unit offers pre-set operational sequences - each sequence is a movement with speed, direction and distance (as steps)
The pre-set sequences can be selected with the 4 digital inputs
All the inputs are activated with positive logic commands (4-30V), control can also be achieved with TTL-logic level commands
For parameters setting there is 3 options: EM-236 interface unit, EM-268 with Menthol-Lite PC-program and EM-326 with Menthol-App application for smartphone
