The snap-acting switch is protected by a robust metal casing. Protected by a detachable, insulated cover plate, the M3 screw terminals are located in 3.96 mm wide wiring channels. The beryllium copper trident spring operating mechanism is corrosion-resistant, and the fine silver contacts ensure high conductivity.

IP54-rated for protection against dust and accidental splashes, this unit conforms to IEC 1058-1 as a reliable, safe switch. Frequent uses for this type of microswitch include safety switches on automatic doors or in industrial control circuits.
