The Saia-Burgess is a single pole double throw (SPDT) normally open or normally closed 4VBR series microswitch. It is also known as a snap action switch. It operates by using a spring-loaded lever to open and close a set of internal contacts inside the unit. It has a simulated plunger lever actuator. It requires a 1.4N operating force to energize the spring. The operating current rating is 5A.
