This Compact safety light barrier is designed to protect access points in industrial applications by emitting an array of infrared beams to detect intrusions. It operates as a receiver within miniTwin installations and can function as a standalone unit or as the last guest in cascaded systems, offering optical synchronisation without separate wiring. The device is intended for integration into machine safeguarding circuits requiring a Type 2 safety solution.

It provides PNP semiconductor OSSD outputs that are short‑circuit protected and cross‑circuit monitored with ≤300mA per OSSD.

The unit has IP65 protection, operates between -20°C and +55°C, and tolerates 15%-95% non‑condensing humidity.

It is delivered with twin‑stick, C‑Fix and L‑Fix brackets, a system plug and a test rod matching the resolution.

It conforms to Type 2 (IEC 61496‑1), SIL1 (IEC 61508), Category 2 (EN ISO 13849) and carries EC‑Type‑Examination, CE, RoHS and other national approvals.

Two identical miniTwin-stick packages MUST always be ordered for a complete system.,Cable: Each miniTwin is supplied with an M12 5-pin 1-way system plug. To cascade 3 pairs you will need 2 x cascade cables. Either 701-2962 for miniTwin up to 540mm or 701-2971 for miniTwin over 600mm. These cascade cables have 2 x plugs and should be attached to the rear of your middle pair of miniTwin. The cascade extender cable 701-2974 can be used in conjunction with the 2 x cascade cables to increase the distance between miniTwin if required. Regardless of whether you use these devices stand-alone or in a 2 x pair or cascade format you will need to purchase 2 x M12 5-pin connector cable eg 523-0335.,Brackets: 2 x C-Fix and 2 x L-Fix brackets are supplied with each miniTwin.
