This light curtain is a sender module designed to provide a monitored protective field for machinery and production lines where hygiene-rated housings are required. It operates as part of a two-piece safety system to detect interruptions in the protective field and switch safety outputs accordingly, using near-infrared light at 850nm and optical synchronisation for reliable detection over extended distances.
