Osram Luminux T8 Fluorescent Tubes
Osram Lumilux T8 fluorescent tubes are energy efficient fluorescent lamps. They meet standard T8 sizing, which means they are tubular with a 26 mm diameter. These fluorescent tubes feature a G13 base. This series is available in a range of colours from 2700 K all the way through to 8000 K.
They feature proven lamp technology and are an economical and efficient solution.
Benefits:
• Lumilux T8 fluorescent tubes are dimmable, making them more versatile as you can install them in dimmable luminaires. This gives you greater control over the light in your environment.
• This series utilises top quality three band phosphor.
• T8 fluorescent lamps provide good lumen maintenance (90% for the lifespan of the lamp) and have good colour rendering.
• They have an excellent service life of up to 18,000 hours (depending on the model).
Product Applications:
Typical applications include office lighting, shops, supermarkets and factories. Lumilux T8 lamps can be used in some outdoor applications, but this is dependent on the luminaire being used.
Fluorescent Triphosphor
Triphosphor tubes have longer life, a lower mercury content, better colour rendering and higher lumen maintenance than their Halophosphate counterparts. The tubes are available in a variety of colour temperatures from 3000K (warm white) to 6000K (daylight).
• Extended life expectancy which can be increased by upto 20,000 hours with the use of high frequency luminaires.
• Shatter resistant versions available which retain the fragments in the event of a breakage.
• Option of triphosphor tubes with internal reflectors, which reduce waste light and increase light output by up to 75%.
• 16mm (T5) tubes provide a compact alternative to T8 tubes, offering peak performance at +35 °C and typically provide 5% more efficiency in most ceiling applications when compared to equivalent T8 tubes.

Warning
A lamp breaking is extremely unlikely to have any adverse effects on your health. However, if a lamp breaks, you should ventilate the room for 30 minutes before removing the parts (preferably with gloves on). The parts should be taken for recycling at your local waste facility.
