RS PRO Horizontal Float Switch, Polyphenylene Sulphide, NO/NC, Float, 1 m, 240 V, 120 V

Use this horizontal float switch from RS PRO when you need to monitor the level of liquid in a tank or turn a circuit on or off when it reaches a pre-set level. It's designed to be fitted through a tank wall from the outside, meaning you can install it even when you don't have access to the inside of the tank.

The body of the switch is made from polyphenylene sulphide, which means the switch both stands up to aggressive chemicals and can be used at temperatures right up to +120°C. A nitrile compression seal guards against leakage. You can connect the switch to the circuit using the 1 m flying lead supplied.

Switches of this kind are commonly found in vending machines, commercial dishwashers and auxiliary tanks on vehicles.
