HellermannTyton Connectivity RapidNet Ultra12 Series Cassette, 12 Ports, MTP Connector Type - RNU12-A-12S2LCNFY010M

This cassette provides a compact module for managing multiple MTP terminations within fibre networks. It is intended for single-mode optical systems and offers a pre-configured patching solution that integrates into standard connectivity setups. The unit is designed for rack or panel installation where medium-density MTP connectivity is required and complies with recognised safety approvals.

Features and Benefits:

• MTP connector supporting 12 ports for high-density patching
• Single-mode fibre operation enabling long-reach transmission
• OM2 fibre type for predictable modal performance in multimode systems
• UL approval confirming adherence to recognised safety criteria
• Low-profile 12mm height for space-efficient installations
• 94mm width to match common rack-mount panel footprints

Applications

• Suitable for data centre spine-to-leaf MTP deployments
• Ideal for consolidating 12-port MTP trunk connections
• Used with pre-terminated links requiring fast field termination
• Can be used for campus backbone single-mode runs
• Used for optical consolidation in telecommunications cupboards

What connector style does it use and how many terminations are provided?

The module uses an MTP-style multi-fibre connector and provides twelve individual port terminations for dense cabling environments.

What type of fibre is integrated and what does that imply for performance?

It incorporates OM2 fibre which gives defined modal bandwidth characteristics useful in certain multimode applications while being housed in a single-mode operational cassette.

What approval ensures safety standards have been met?

The cassette carries a UL rating, indicating it meets established safety and material assessment requirements relevant to electrical and optical components.

Is the product supplied as a pre-terminated solution and what length is provided?

It is delivered as a pre-terminated module with an attached 10m cable to expedite installation and reduce on-site termination work.
