45PAT10MBL Cat5e Patch Cable

This Cat5e patch cable delivers reliable network connections, which ensures high-performance capability for your demanding Ethernet applications.

Find the length and color you need

This 10-meter blue network cable is perfect for use in network conduits and raceways. The cable is intended for longer distance applications, such as running up a post or throughout the office from a hub to a wall- jack.

For easier network installations, our Cat 5e cables are available in a wide variety of lengths and colors. This ensures you have the right size of cable available when you need it and it lets you color code your connections for a more organized setup.

Snagless RJ45 clips help protect your network connections

For trouble-free cable runs, this durable cable features snagless connectors that protect the RJ45 clips during installation, making them less likely to snag or break.

The cable also features moulded boots which offer connector strain relief by stopping the RJ45 connector termination points from bending at sharp angles. This reduces the risk of damage to the cable, which could decrease network connectivity and performance.

100% copper for outstanding value

Get the highest value for your cable investment with our Cat5e Ethernet cables, each one manufactured using high-quality copper conductors. They are carefully constructed and tested, to keep Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) well within acceptable limits.

24-gauge wire for high-performance network connection

Ensure high-performance capability for your demanding Ethernet applications, such as Power-over-Ethernet and 4K or 1080p video streaming, using cables that include 24 AWG copper.

50-micron gold connectors provide peak conductivity

You can rely on our RJ45 connectors to deliver optimum conductivity, while eliminating signal loss due to oxidation or corrosion.

The 45PAT10MBL is backed by StarTech.com’s lifetime warranty for guaranteed reliability.

FAQ

What is a Cat6a cable used for?
Cat6a ethernet cables are used as data cables, directly linking a router or a modem to the device accessing the ethernet. Cat6a is a great choice for large spaces which may not be able to connect to the ethernet within a short distance.

What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6a
As a rule of thumb, the higher the Cat cabling type, the better the noise reduction and lower attenuation it can handle and as a result, can handle higher bandwidth. For example, Cat6 can handle higher data transfer rates and distances than Cat5.
The main difference between a Cat6a cable and a Cat6 cable would be the amount of bandwidth frequency they can support. Cat 6a can support double the amount of a Cat 6 around 500 MHz. After installation, Cat6a will also perform at 10 gigabits at 100 m, which is over the allocated length for a Cat6 cable (37 m). If choosing between the two, Cat6a is the more logical choice, especially for applications which may require networks at further distances apart.

What about safety?
As a standard, every Cat6a cable is listed as at least LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen). Meaning these cables will emit a very little amount of smoke and no halogen if exposed to a high heat source. Although you should always check the kind of shielded version you need, especially in a high heat environment
