RS PRO Antistatic Heel Grounder

The disposable anti-static heel grounder from the RS PRO range can be used to help ensure the safety of all visitors and workers in electrostatic discharge (ESD) protected areas.

The black conductive strip is bordered by bright yellow material to offer excellent visibility and support the enforcement of an ESD-control programme. Using a pressure-sensitive adhesive, the strip sticks to the heels of boots or shoes. The grounders should be worn on each foot to ensure maximum ESD-grounding protection. The conductive ribbon should have good electrical contact with the person's body, either touching their skin or through their socks.

Sold in packs of 100, the single-use grounders are 14 mm in width and 298 mm in length. They're commonly used in factories, workshops and engineering environments where ESD is a likely hazard.
