RS PRO introduces the series of machine pin sockets which offers a full range of exceptional quality, highly reliable DIP package sockets, including this 8 way through hole turned pin DIP socket, also known as DIL socket. RS PRO has designed these sockets to feature solid precision turned sleeves with a closed bottom design eliminating flux intrusion and solder wicking during soldering. Constructed with a stamped spring copper insert, this provides an excellent connection and allows repeated insertion and withdrawals. With Gold plated inner contact and tin-plated outer sleeve this socket is a Hi-Temp insulator for Hi-Temp soldering processes of up 260°C. Our insulators are molded of UL94V-0 high temp thermoplastic.
