Dormer No Die, M12 x 1.75mm Pitch, 1.5/16in od

The Dormer M Adjustable die is a split die to produce external thread by hand in multiple passes with adjusting each pass. By tightening the die stock holder the different classes of thread fit can be achieved such as tight, regular or loose fit. This dies has HSS with bright finish for threading in free machining and plain carbon steel, ferrite stainless steel and grey, malleable, ductile and compacted graphite cast iron. This die is slightly tightened in the holder and it can be used to clean up or produce a partial thread.
