This nine-pin male D-sub connector plug from Phoenix Contact is an essential component in the building of fieldbus systems with RS-485 interfaces. It provides a connection route for the two cables required for set-up, channelling their signals to screw terminal blocks for faster transmission speeds and a clearer link.

This unit is made of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), which is metal-plated for impact resistance and therefore suitable for external use. The plating also prevents EMI (electromagnetic interference) and makes it safe for use with other electrical components.

You can place terminal blocks on the upper or lower parts of the connector housing, allowing flexible cable entry depending on your PCB (printed circuit board) set-up. This connector plug can also be easily installed or removed thanks to knurled screws, which can be fastened and loosened by hand.

SUBCON-PLUS 9 position field bus D-sub connectors with two cable entries and a screw terminal block for each cable enabling fieldbus systems to be built with RS-485 interfaces. The terminal blocks can be placed in the upper or lower part of the connector housing allowing cable entry from the left or right. These SUBCON-PLUS field bus RS-485 d-sub connectors have a high transmission speed, a high level of EMC with metallized ABS housings for EMI shielding and accept a cable cross section range of 6 to 10mm2
