It has an IP67 rating, indicating full protection against dust and submersion in 1m of water for up to 30 minutes. The socket holds nine female contacts for compatibility with many standard D-sub connectors. Solder bucket 'D' plugs and sockets to be used as part of a waterproof cable connection in conjunction with the plastic and metallised hoods (stock no. 195-7187). These may then mate with the panel mounted D plugs and sockets (stock no. 195-7250) or with each other as part of an in-line cable assembly, using the relevant in-line adaptor kit (stock no. 246-6064 to stock no. 246-6086) to maintain IP67 rating.
