3M 787C Ceramic Fibre Disc, 50 mm, P60 Grit

With its precision-shaped grain, this 3M fibre disc offers exceptional performance. An incorporated grinding aid keeps the disc cool and also improves longevity with the help of the strong resin bond between the grain and the fibre. With cutting efficiency maximised, you can grind with less pressure, meaning less fatigue for the operator. The Roloc quick-attachment system locks into place without the need for fitting tools, speeding up your workflow. Use this disc for challenging metal grinding jobs such as chamfering, machining grooves and removing steel welds, as well as metal sanding.

Using the 3M™ 787C outperforms conventional ceramic discs. Designed to be used with a 3M™ backing pad with an angle grinder or sander. This fibre wheel is well-suited to edge chamfering, machining grooves, removing steel welds and more.

When grinding or sanding metal, appropriate protective clothing should be worn, including gloves, goggles and a dust mask. Operators should be trained and aware of any hazards associated with the material they're working on.

This disc is recommended for use with metals only and shouldn't be used on wood.

The Roloc™ system from 3M™ provides a secure attachment on heavy duty applications. It allows for Roloc discs to be quickly swapped out from one application to another in seconds. The plastic threaded button or screw is designed to easily and quickly screw on a Roloc disc pad (50 mm backing pad - 288-471).

The 3M™ 787C heavy-duty fibre discs are great for weld removals, grinding and blending large and small metal areas. This could occur in industries such as farm and construction, automotive, ship and boat building, metal fabrication.

The 787C is used for stainless steel and other non-ferrous alloys such as aluminium and titanium, the 782C disc is used for carbon steel (Sold at RS).
