Each fastener is made from steel with a zinc coating and offers a shoulder/no shoulder option, making them much more cost-effective than their stainless-steel counterparts, while still offering a high level of protection against surface rust and oxidisation.

Thumb screws are designed specifically for ease of use and simplicity. They are used for applications where the fastener needs to be tightened or loosed by hand, most commonly when something needs to be repeatedly adjusted, re-installed or removed. The main benefit of thumb screws is that they are easy to install and drastically reduce the risk of overtightening and are also useful in areas where space is limited, and tools can’t be used. Because of this, however, these fasteners are not recommended for applications that require structural support and security, or high vibration environments, as there is an increased risk in them loosening over time.
