RS PRO introduces a fantastic range of flat head open end blind rivet nuts. Designed to be easily installed and able to secure joints with short clamp lengths, these rivet nuts are engineered to create a mechanical fastening. They are internally threaded and counterbored tubular rivets used to create highly durable threads especially in thin materials. The blind rivet nut can be installed entirely from one side of the material when access is limited to the fixing, unlike machine screws. Flat head rivet nuts are the most common and multifunctional types due to their ease and durability. Designed with a hexagon body which is ideal for situations that need a high resistance thread and anti-rotation is needed.
Made from steel with a zinc plating to ensure weather proofing and high corrosion resistance to elongate the life of your rivet nuts whilst keeping it lightweight and strong. These steel rivet nuts have a wide grip range with strong durability.

Rivet nuts are installed in a similar fashion to blind rivets, driven through pre-drilled holes from one side of a material. The advantage of using rivet nuts is that they do not require hot welding, so they can be installed in metal, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials without a problem. They are used to permanently join two steel, aluminium or copper plates usually in mechanical applications where it is imperative that joints do not become loose and cause failure. They are especially suited for environments where a flush and non-interference fit is necessary and with their hexagonal body design they are ideal for applications that require a high resistance thread and anti-rotation is required.
