RS PRO Type J Thermocouple, +400°C, 30 mm Length, 5 mm Diameter
If you need to measure extreme temperatures quickly and accurately, choose this RS PRO Type J thermocouple. It's made up of two conductors with dissimilar alloys that join to create an electrical junction. This generates voltage in response to changes in temperature, allowing for highly accurate measurement.
The unit's two-slot bayonet mounting locks in place to keep the device secure. The insulation material is a fibre glass and stainless steel mixture that supports a wide operating temperature range of -60°C to +400°C. The thermocouple has an earthed junction with a fast thermal response time of just 0.7 seconds, so you can get temperature readings in real-time.
This thermocouple complies to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive, meaning it contains only minimal amounts of any material that may be hazardous to health. It's suitable for high-pressure applications or for use with corrosive media.
