The SIRIUS 3SE5 hazardous area position switches are an ideal choice in explosion-protected areas and misty or dusty environments, complying with directive 94/4/EG II 3D ATEX 95 of the European Union and are approved for Zone 22. These position switches are designed to ensure that the safety mechanism on protective doors cannot be deactivated. Also the multiple mechanical coding of these interlock switches virtually eliminates the possibility of tampering. The separate actuator is mounted directly on the protective door and moves into the opening on the switch when the door is closed. Once the door is opened, the actuator is removed from the switch and the NC contacts open breaking the circuit safely and reliably.
