Use steel rod ends such as this one from the quality RS PRO range with pneumatic cylinders and coupler mechanisms. They're designed for use in a wide range of applications, including labelling machines, mechanical controls and printing and packaging machinery.

This model has an overall length of 65 mm and female thread connections with an M12 1.5 thread size. It has a dynamic load rating of 26,700 newtons and a static load rating of 14,000 newtons. The rod is made from carbon steel with a copper alloy insert and a ball swivel of high carbon bearing steel. You don't ever need to lubricate it, so it's maintenance-free.

Part of the RS PRO series, this rod end has been thoroughly tested to ensure a consistent and reliable product. It conforms to the standards ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 on safe levels of electrostatic discharge.
